PR Account Manager

EMG is a leading international B2B marketing communications specialist, undertaking a full range of customized programmes for major industrial and commercial clients, including blue-chip multi-nationals. 

Our activities span media relations, advertising, literature programmes, on-line solutions, trade exhibitions and in-company communications. Most of our work is pan-European or globally linked.

Established in 1991, we continue to grow and now need to reinforce our dynamic team in order to support our ongoing expansion plans.

Purpose of Role
To achieve agreed revenue, margin & profit objectives by taking ownership of existing and prospective client opportunities and delivering effective media relations & marcoms programmes

To contribute to the overall company performance and development

1 Existing Clients 
Continuously develop relationships with key client contacts, identify client needs, formulate appropriate plans, gain client approval and implement to achieve agreed objectives within agreed budgets 

This includes extensive
-Communication plan development
-Campaign planning
-Programme implementation
-Media networking
-Supplier selection & management
-Client counsel and presentation

2 Prospective Clients 
Assist in prospecting activity to identify new prospects, develop contact points and create pitching opportunities in order to achieve client acquisition targets
Able to draft pitch documents under GM’s supervision and guidance

3 Commercial Management
Ensure revenues and costs are managed to achieve external (client) and internal (EMG) objectives
Operate to agreed company standards, policy & practice

4 Staff Supervision & Development 
Manage the day-to-day activities of team members as appropriate and develop their skills, contribution and job satisfaction

5 Management Team Membership
Contribute to the wider EMG business as a member of the senior team
Undertake special projects as briefed by the CEO such as EMG’s own marketing and BD activities

Essential Criteria
1 Profile

3 Education
Graduate with higher level degree from a respected university in either relevant science or business subjects.
Preferably with post-graduate qualification in relevant subject, such as journalism or marketing communications

4 Experience
Minimum of 4 years directly relevant PR or B2B experience in an international environment, either on client or agency side of the media relations/marketing communications business with a demonstrable track record

5 Base Skills

Strong inter-personal and relationship building skills
Strong team work and organization skills with professional maturity

6 Language Skills
Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, 
Native level Chinese
